DWITCHES LANE -  There used to be a house that was secluded by forest at the end of a long
tree canopied lane. It was just off Salmon River Rd in Shannonville , On.
Three sisters resided in this house for many years and it was no secret
                    what they were . . . .
WITCHES ! !

This is the story that was told to John by many of his native friends. All
of the peoples stories were exactly the same in details, location, and
paranormal descriptions. Was it a local legend or a real event you decide.

Told to John by a friend in high school.

" We were always told to stay clear of the sisters house. Our parents used
to tell us "tales" of things the trio did. They would wither crops, sour
milk in livestock, and change the weather at will. The one thing I had a
hard time believing is one story about a summer where babies in the
surrounding area had gone missing without a trace. Investigations lead
to the sisters when a neighbor notified police of a putrid smell coming
from the witches house. When police arrived they were hit by an awful
smell but that wasn't as bad as the sight that lay before them. In the
canopy of trees  over the lane were corpses of babies hanging from
nooses. When the police stormed the house the sisters had vanished
without a trace. To This day they still haven't been found. My friends
and I used to dare each other to walk down the lane. It is said that when
you walk down the lane the temperature drops, and you can hear cries of
of babies. Many of my friends would only make it 15 steps in, turn and
                      run. I only made it 13 feet . . . . I won't go back."

The house has fallen in on itself a long time ago. John went to Witches
Lane with some friends in 1989. John feels that those poor innocents cries
                     are that of a
RESIDUAL HAUNTING . It is when a tragic event has recorded
an imprint in time that's replayed over and over. He and only one other
person made it more than half - way down the lane.
