THE CONNOR HOUSE - Located on the corners of Pinnacle St. and Campbell St. in Belleville is
a beautiful red brick house. It is currently the Green Willow specialty
retail store. The house is surrounded by a wrap around veranda and in
the spacious backyard is the remnants of a beautiful garden. This home
and garden have always held pride and Magic for the city.
In the glory day of Belleville the Connor sisters lived at the large
home on Pinnacle St. . They were the talk of the city for their unique
garden at the back of the home. The sisters had a knack for gardening
and were known for incredible rose bushes.
A local policeman was on the downtown beat when he passed the Connor
House. It was in the middle of January and in the garden he found the
roses , incredibly, were still in full bloom ! ! Shocked at the sight he
stood in the cold letting his brain comprehend the event.
The next day, the policemen returned to find only withered flowers. He
couldn't find any reason for the strange event. Could it be the Spirits
of the Connor sisters performing some Magic of thier own ?
